This company provides car breakdown insurance and is now owned by UKI partnerships that forms part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group of companies. UKI partnership provides insurances, breakdown insurance, and motoring assistance to more than 50 major household brands, leading UK companies and large affinity organisations. UKI motoring manufacturing partners also account for some 50% of all new cars sold in the UK.

Before Green Flag became known as a successful motoring assistance brand in its own right, it was originally known as National Breakdown Service which can trace its history back over 30 years.

The company offer a variety of car breakdown insurance products that cover the vehicle regardless of who is driving, these include;

Rescue – This level of car breakdown insurance cover offers the motorist roadside assistance and up to one hours free labour providing your vehicle is a least one mile from your home. If the vehicle breaksdown and can’t be fixed at the roadside, they will transport the car to a suitable garage nearby.

Rescue Plus – This level of breakdown insurance cover affords the same protection as Rescue except you are also covered if your car breaks down at your home address.

Recovery – Provides the benefits of Rescue breakdown insurance cover and also includes transportation of your car and up to seven passengers to your home, your destination or a local garage in one single journey if the car cannot be repaired by the end of the working day.

Recover Plus – This level of car breakdown insurance cover affords the same protection as Recovery except you are also covered if your car breaks down at your home address. There is also a choice of transportation to either return home or continue your journey or B&B accommodation in a local hotel whilst you wait for the breakdown repairs to be completed subject to the incident occurring more than 25 miles from your home.

EuroPlus – Provides breakdown roadside assistance, homeward travelling expenses if your vehicle is stolen, recovery of your car if you have a breakdown and it can’t be driven, free legal insurance cover and the cost of replacement parts if they cannot be sourced locally.

Personal Cover is an optional extra allowing the policyholder and partner to enjoy all the benefits of their chosen breakdown insurance cover level for any car they are travelling in, even if they are the passenger.
