GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) is available so you are covered for the difference between any car insurance payout and the settlement figure, if you are unfortunate enough to have a total loss accident. Also Early Termination Insurance if you terminate the leasing agreement early due to redundancy, unemployment or death.

Thanks to the flexibility of their plans, at the end of the car leasing agreement you can either keep your vehicle, after a pre-agreed balloon payment (final settlement) has been made, or hand it back. If you return the car you will have to pay for any outstanding excess mileage or damage charges. If you want you can then start a new leasing agreement for another car.
