Ford “Insure” comprehensive car insurance is underwritten by Norwich Union. Ford offer many different products to customers including payment protection plan and guaranteed asset protection.

The company's car insurance offers the following benefits; nil excesses available for policy holders aged 25 and over (additional premium required), a courtesy car is provided whilst your vehicle is being repaired at an approved accident repair centre, your own incident manager available 24 hours a day whether you are in the UK or Europe if you need to claim on your car insurance. If you are the first registered keeper, Ford Insure will replace your car with a new one of the same make and specification if within 12 months of purchase, provided i) any repair cost covered by the insurance policy exceeds 60% of its list price at the time of purchase or ii) your car is stolen and not recovered.

Should you purchase a new or used vehicle from a Ford Car Dealership you will be offered a free 7 day driveaway comprehensive motor insurance subject to conditions. If your car is written off or stolen and declared a total loss, any depreciation that has taken place since you took delivery of your vehicle may not be covered by your car insurance. This is because some comprehensive policies make a total loss payment based on the market value of the vehicle at the time of the accident or theft. Ford’s Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) policy is designed to cover this gap between any car insurance settlement and the outstanding finance or the original purchase price, whichever is greater.
