Swiftcover Car Insurance

Information for motorists interested in getting a car insurance quote direct from Swiftcover

The launch of Swiftcover.com in July 2005 heralded a new era for car insurance in the UK. Never before has a company in this market concentrated on selling policies directly through the internet and alerted the public to possible savings if insurance for cars is purchased in this way. Swiftcover.com represents the UK's first provider to operate solely online in respect of sales, policy administration and claims handling.

The company’s products are underwritten by International Insurance Corporation (IIC) NV. Both companies are regulated by the FSA and The Netherlands Financial Regulatory Authority respectively and form part of the Primary Group.

Two different levels of cover for cars are offered to consumers, comprehensive and third party fire and theft. Typically, the latter cover does not include damage to your car unlike comprehensive insurance which also incorporates windscreen repair or replacement and car stereo cover. Should you wish to add breakdown cover, legal expenses, no claims discount protection, automatic car hire or personal accident cover to your insurance policy for an additional premium, there is the option.

In order to obtain an online quote from this company certain conditions have to be met. To summarise any drivers with non-motoring offences or who have previous car insurance cover declined, cancelled, or voided, or who work in full or part time listed occupations (see site for details), are not eligible.

Should the unlikely event of customers not being able to access the internet to administer car policy changes or claim on their insurance policy, this provider operates a telephone backup service to give customers piece of mind.

Please note, conditions will apply for all of the UK car insurance products mentioned above, please contact the company concerned for more information.
