This is one of the UK’s largest motoring organisations with a membership totalling 15 million. The organisation used to form part of the Centrica Group of companies. On the first October 2004 the AA was purchased for £1.75 billion by two of Europe's leading private equity firms, CVC and Permira.

The automobile association encompasses a car breakdown service, financial services and information and publications. The company are the UK’s number one independent insurance broker, with 1.6 million home and car policies in force. The website now provides 44% of all quotes.

You can transfer or accumulate up to 65% No Claims Discount and there is immediate help in case of accident from their 24 hour free insurance claims helpline available 365 days a year. In the case of non-fault accidents only, the Claims Assistance Service** will examine your claim and if it is felt that you have a valid claim against another car driver, they will work hard to get the claim settled in full.

A courtesy car is guaranteed as soon as you make an insurance claim. This is available even where your vehicle has been written off or stolen, this is applicable to third party fire and theft, and fully comprehensive car insurance policies only.

Extra discounts are available from some of their panel if your car is fitted with a Thatcham security device and up to 10% if it is protected with a recognised tracking device. They also offer a 33% discount from your household buildings insurance if you have your contents and car insurance through them.

The cover is available in comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party only options, allowing you to choose the most applicable car insurance policy for your purposes and your pocket.

You should be able to obtain an online insurance quote if you are resident in, and the car is registered in the UK, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man.
